Etura "Cola" Weatherington

Etura “Cola” Weatherington passed away peacefully and entered heaven’s gates on June 2, 2017, after a lengthy illness.

Etura was born in 1963 in Lorain, Ohio. She was a life-long resident of Lorain and attended Admiral King High School. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. Etura loved to read, play cards and dominoes.

She is survived by her loving children, Desirae Weatherington of Cleveland, Ohio, Tamar Walls of Sandusky, Ohio, and Asha (Davin) Bridges of Topeka, Kansas; a grandson, Davion Bridges; her father, Willie Guyton of Detroit, Michigan; her siblings, Gloria (Tyrone) Gage of Lorain, Reginald (Stephanie) Weatherington of Cleveland, Ohio, Geoffrey Weatherington of Atlanta, Georgia, Virginia (Earl) Shaw of Friendship, Tennessee, and Antoinette (Steven) Smith of Brookpark, Ohio; an aunt, Mary Childs of Windsor, Connecticut; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Etura was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Weatherington.

Private services were held Friday, June 9, 2017
